Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has urged Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart to join Everton.
Joe Hart had managed to establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League with Manchester City over the past few years and he had been seen as one of the most integral figures at the Etihad Stadium.
Following the arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager of Manchester City over the summer though, Hart was deemed surplus to requirements and sent out on loan to Italian Serie A outfit Torino.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a decent season at Torino but he will not be heading back to Italy next season as Torino are unable to afford his wages.
Nonetheless, a host of Premier League clubs remain interested in securing the services of Hart during the upcoming summer transfer window and now Chelsea legend Mark Schwarzer has urged the England international to join Everton.
Everton are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper as both Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg failed to impress this season and Schwarzer believes that Hart would be an ideal signing for the Toffees to rectify their problems in goal.
Schwarzer said, “I think it’s best for him to be back in the Premier League, I really do. Which club? There are a number of clubs. I think Everton would be good fit for him, I’d say Liverpool if they are deciding to change anything in there.”
