Chelsea are planning to lure Romelu Lukaku with a massive offer, according to reports from the Express.

Romelu Lukaku has been in sensational for this season for Everton and as a testament to this fact, the Belgian international boasts an impressive 21 goals in 28 Premier League appearances, meaning that he is currently leading the goalscoring charts in England.

While Everton fans would surely have been left very happy with Lukaku’s brilliant performances in front of goal, they have been left worried by the 23-year-old’s reluctance to sign a new deal with the Toffees despite the club offering to make him the highest paid player in their history.

With every passing week, it does look like Lukaku will end up leaving Goodison Park at the end of the season and a host of top clubs around Europe have all expressed an interest in securing the services of the young attacker.

Chelsea have often been mentioned as the party who hold the most serious interest in signing Lukaku and now according to reports from the Express, revelations can be made that the Blues are ready to put up a huge offer to lure the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge next season.

The report states that Chelsea are set to place a bid of around £40 million for Lukaku as well as offer the services of £33 million-rated attacker Michy Batshuayi in addition.

While Lukaku is valued close to £70 million by Everton, the aforementioned offer from Chelsea will most certainly prove to be very tempting as a quality attacker such as Batshuayi could prove to be a readymade replacement and it will be interesting to see if the Toffees accept such an offer.
