According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Everton and Liverpool are currently battling it out to secure the services of Max Kruse.
Everton sold Romelu Lukaku for around £75million and many believe that the Toffees pulled off a very good deal by selling the Belgian international for such a large amount.
That said though, replacing a player of Lukaku’s caliber is certainly not going to be an easy job and although Everton have brought in the likes of Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney, they will need to bring in a physically imposing striker as a direct replacement for the Manchester United man.
A host of players have been linked with a move to Everton in recent times and now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, the Toffees are currently plotting a move for German international Max Kruse.
Kruse enjoyed a wonderful campaign for Werder Bremen last season, scoring 15 goals in 23 appearances and is now being eyed up by a host of clubs across Europe.
Everton have long been linked with a move for Kruse and it is believed that the Toffees will be battling it out against rivals Liverpool to acquire the services of the 29-year-old.
Although Kruse is not as physically imposing as Lukaku, he does lead the line very well and could well be suited to Everton’s style of play under Koeman next season.
