Watford have enquired regarding the availability of Aaron Lennon on loan from Everton as Marco Silva seeks to add two more signings to his Hornets side, according to The Daily Mail.
Watford finished last season at a lowly 17th position, narrowly escaping relegation and as a consequence, then manager Walter Mazzarri had to part ways with the club.
However, under the tutelage of new manager Marco Silva, Watford are set to kick start the new campaign with a breath of fresh air.
Silva has already signed Will Hughes, Nathaniel Chalobah, Daniel Bachmann and Kiko Femenia this summer as the London outfit hope to finish in mid table and he has reportedly made Lennon as one of his major targets for the summer.
The 30-year-old winger missed the finals stages of last season for Everton, after suffering from a stress related illness but has since, returned to pre-season training and has impressed for the Toffees.
The interest for the signature of the player is high; with Birmingham City amongst those reportedly keen on the player.
Everton are said to be willing to listen to offers for the former Tottenham winger, who has made 50 League appearances and scored 7 League goals for the Toffees since joining them in 2015.
Silva is keen to add two more players to his squad before the transfer window closes on August. The new Watford manager and the players will be keen to hit the ground running and ensure that they finish their third consecutive season in the Premier League as high up in the table as possible.
