Everton have been handed a huge boost in their hopes of signing Obbi Oulare
With the future of Romelu Lukaku in doubt, Everton clearly are in need of a new striker this summer. As a result, a host of names have been linked with a move to Goodison Park and Belgian striker Obbi Oulare has recently been mentioned in the media as a potential signing for the Toffees.
Oulare is a 19-year old plying his trade for Club Brugge and is considered another one of the fine young players to have emerged from Belgium in recent times.
Given Oulare’s young age as well as the fact that the striker has a contract till 2018, Brugge would most certainly not be too keen on parting with their prized asset just yet.
However in an interesting development to the story, it has now emerged that Club Brugge could be interested in parting with Oulare – if their pursuit of Middlesbrough striker Jelle Vossen comes into fruition.
Brugge want to complete the signing of Vossen who is currently on a permanent deal at rivals Genk and they are open to the idea of raising the required £4million for the striker by facilitating the sale of Oulare to interested clubs.
As a result, Everton have been handed a boost in their chase of Oulare and there is every possibility that the Toffees will be able to strike a deal for the striker. However, Everton will have to see off competition if they want to sign Oulare as even Sunderland are said to be interested in the 19-year old.
