Ross Barkley has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park after handing in a formal transfer request this summer and it finally looks like he will get his much desired transfer.
Tottenham have been constantly linked with the talented midfielder and although Spurs have failed to secure his services so far, they will hope they can finally make some progress.
On the other hand, Everton have been incessantly been touted to make a for the Swansea playmaker, Gylfi Sigurdsson, but have failed to secure a deal for the midfielder so far.
However, Swansea have reportedly identified a replacement, Nacer Chadli, for the Icelandic international and are finally willing to listening to offers for Sigurdsson by Everton, which is likely to spark a chain reaction.
Should the Toffees finalize the signing of Sigurdsson, they might get tempted to sell Barkley to Tottenham in order to balance their books.
The Lilywhites are the only team in the Premier League yet to make a signing this season and have come under pressure after left-back Danny Rose publicly criticized the club for lack of activity in the transfer market.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino said he was confident they will be able to complete few signings before the end of the transfer window at 31st August and Barkley could be the first one heading to Wembley this summer.
