Everton complete the signing of the next ‘Seamus Coleman’

Everton are on the verge of securing the signing of young full-back Ethan Warnock, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.

It is no secret that Ronald Koeman is a manager who has tremendous levels of faith in young players and the Dutchman has given the likes of Ademola Lookman, Tom Davies and Mason Holgate among others, a great opportunity to prove their worth during the current campaign.

Many now expect that Koeman will be looking to continue develop was well as recruit talented young players at Goodison Park and it can now be revealed by the Liverpool Echo that Everton are set to sign a promising right-back in the form of Ethan Warnock.

Warnock created history for Glentoran by becoming the youngest-ever player to feature in a professional game for the Danske Bank Premiership outfit last year at the age of just 15 years 306 days and the teenager certainly possesses a lot of potential.

Everton have been alerted by Warnock’s exploits at Glentoran and if reports are to be believed, the Toffees have wasted no time whatsoever in making a swoop for the youngster.

Ethan had spoken about Everton’s interest in him a couple of years ago recently by saying, “Everton were keen for me to join them after they played our Club NI side two years ago and they have been very good with me.

“The coaching over there is different class. I can’t wait to go over there and push on. It was an opportunity that I could not turn down and we’ll see what develops.”

Everton unearthed a gem in Seamus Coleman by signing him from Sligo Rovers back in 2009 for just £60,000 and the Toffees will surely be hopeful that young Warnock can have a similar impact for the club.
