According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Premier League outfit Everton are currently eyeing up a swoop for Hamburg midfielder Walace.
Following a shaky start to his tenure as manager of Everton, Ronald Koeman managed to steady the ship and under the Dutchman, the Toffees most certainly seem to be making a lot of progress.
While earning a Champions League position this season is very unlikely, Everton do look well on course for a finish among the top seven and Koeman does seem to be planning for the future, as evidenced by his signings of Ademola Lookman and Morgan Schneiderlin.
One can be sure that Koeman will be very busy during the upcoming summer in the transfer market and now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, claims have been made that the Everton boss is currently eyeing up a swoop for Hamburg star Walace.
Walace is regarded as one of the most promising young talents to have emerged from Brazil in recent times and the 21-year-old earned a move to German Bundesliga side Humburg during the January transfer window last month.
Despite just joining Hamburg, there has already been speculation surrounding the long term future of Walace at Hamburg and reports have stated that the duo of Everton and Leicester City have both expressed an interest in signing the youngster.
Given that he only transferred to Hamburg a few weeks ago, the Bundesliga side are certain to be demanding a large fee for Walace and it is believed that Everton are said to be ready to splash as much as £8 million in order to lure him away from Volksparkstadion.
