Everton are reportedly interested in signing the highly rated Sheffield United youngster David Brooks, according to reports.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman does not shy away from giving the youngsters in his squad regular first team opportunities and the early integration of the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman into his plans at Goodison Park is a testament to this fact.

Everton, as a club, boast excellent youth facilities and they also pride themselves at their ability to groom youngsters from within the club rather than make big-name signings, despite their rare summer splurge this time around.

At the same time, Everton are also always on the lookout for talented young players at other clubs and it is now believed that the Dutch tactician is interested in signing the highly rated Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks, as he looks to further build for the future at the blue half of Merseyside.

Considering the impressive record of the Everton manager with the youngsters and the excellent youth facilities at Everton, a move to Goodison might be in the best interest of Brooks. However, it remains to be seen if Sheffield United are ready to part with their prized youngster anytime soon.

The 20-year-old midfielder is yet to make a first team appearance for his club but has impressed for the Blades youth team in recent times and as a result, has caught the eye of Everton.
