Everton are believed to be preparing a bid for PSG forward Edinson Cavani, with the view to sign the forward during the January transfer window.
The Merseyside club have been struggling in front of goal following the sale of Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United this summer and as well as due to the fact that new signings Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney have not performed to their best so far this season.
This means that signing a forward will be a priority at Goodison Park when the transfer window resumes in January and recent reports have suggested that Ronald Koeman is looking to land PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
The ex-Napoli man’s future at the Paris club has come under question after the Uruguayan had a high profile bust up with new record signing Neymar over penalty taking responsibilities.
While manager Unai Emery has dismissed the disagreement as nothing serious, many believe that Cavani might be pushed out of the club if he fails to reconcile with the World’s most expensive player.
It is believed that the lack of support from the management in the bust up has left the forward unsettled at Paris and the January transfer window might just be the best time for Everton to lure the Uruguayan international to Merseyside.
Signing Cavani will prove to be a huge coup for the Toffees’ as he is a proven goal scorer and at 30, still has couple of his best years ahead of him.
