According to reports from the Sun, Everton are planning to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier as a potential replacement for the injured Seamus Coleman.
Seamus Coleman suffered a horrific leg break during the Republic of Ireland’s World Cup qualifying clash against Wales last week and it is now expected that the right-back could well be ruled out for at least a year due to the injury.
The loss of Coleman is certain to be a huge blow for his club side Everton and replacing such a quality player will surely not prove to be an easy task for the Toffees.
That being said, manager Ronald Koeman will need to bring in a capable alternative to Coleman during the upcoming summer transfer window and a host of names have already been mentioned as potential targets for the Dutch manager.
Now according to reports from British tabloid, the Sun, claims have been made that Everton are considering a move for Kieran Trippier to fill in their void at right-back.
Trippier is a very good player who has impressed for Tottenham but with Kyle Walker ahead of him in the pecking order, the 26-year-old has struggled to earn regular minutes at White Hart Lane despite his good performances.
Koeman has been left impressed by Trippier’s performances though and it is claimed that the Everton boss will look to place a bid of around £12 million to sign the Englishman, who would surely be open to a move to Goodison Park.
