Everton are keen on acquiring the services of Norwich City youngster James Maddison in the upcoming January transfer window, according to ESPN FC.
Maddison has shown great promise for Norwich City this season, with a number of impressive performances for the Canaries in the Championship.
The young midfielder has scored four goals as well as grabbed five assists so far for the Championship side and has even been nominated for “Player of the Month” prize for two months in a row.
This fantastic return from Maddison for an otherwise struggling Norwich side has caught the eye of many teams across England and a number of Premier League teams are now said to be trailing the player.
One of those clubs seeking the services of the midfielder are struggling Premier League side Everton, who have been impressed by the 22-year-old’s ability on the ball and the Toffees will be looking to make a bid for the 20-year-old in the upcoming January transfer window.
However, it will be difficult for Everton to land the talented playmaker as Maddison’s contract runs until 2021 and Norwich are under no pressure to let go of arguably their best young player.
