Everton are planning to bolster their attacking lineup with the £15 million signing of Manchester City star Wilfried Bony, according to reports
Romelu Lukaku has made it clear for quite a while that he wants to leave Everton this summer and a move back to Chelsea has been seen as a real possibility for the Belgian striker.
Chelsea are reported to have already placed a huge bid of around £65 million for Lukaku and while the offer was rejected by Everton, it seems just a matter of time before the 23-year-old leaves Goodison Park.
Replacing a quality player such as Lukaku will surely prove to be a tough task for Everton and manager Ronald Koeman is said to be preparing contingency plans as potential replacements for the former Anderlecht star.
A host of names have unsurprisingly been linked with a move to Everton over the past few weeks and now according to fresh reports emerging out of England, the Toffees are currently said to be considering a move for Wilfried Bony.
Bony has flopped at the Etihad Stadium following his big money move to Manchester back in the January transfer window two seasons ago and it is believed that new City boss Pep Guardiola is now keen on dispensing with the services of the Ivory Coast international.
Given his undoubted quality, Bony has been attracting the interest from a number of clubs and Everton also seemingly have joined in the race for the 27-year-old.
City are currently pursuing the services of Everton defender John Stones and it is believed that the Toffees are looking to use the Premier League giants’ interest in the Englishman to broker a favourable deal for Bony.
