Everton are eyeing a shock move for Liverpool target Adama Traore, according to various reports
Everton have made a couple of very good signings in the form of Gerard Deulofeu, David Henen and Tom Cleverley this summer but things have become quiet on the transfer front for the Toffees in recent times.
Nonetheless, manager Roberto Martinez has admitted to the fact that he will be looking to bring at least three new faces to Goodison Park before the end of the transfer window and a quite a few players continue to be linked with a move to Everton.
While the speculation surrounding the future of John Stones has been a concern in regards to the strength of the backline, Martinez is looking to add more firepower into his attack as well and in shock reports it has been claimed that Everton are planning a move for Barcelona youngster Adama Traore.
Traore has been made available on a temporary basis by Barcelona this summer as the Catalan giants’ second team are obliged to offload at least 13 players off of their ranks before the start of the season.
Traore is very highly rated by a host of clubs around Europe and it was believed that Liverpool were winning the race to sign the winger, with the Reds sending in a representative to Spain to finalize the deal for the 19-year old.
However Everton have made a late entry in the race to secure the services of Traore and are hopeful of snatching the winger’s services right under the noses of their fierce rivals.
Martinez enjoys a good relationship with Barcelona and the Spanish manager is now hopeful that the Catalan giants will send Traore out on loan to Goodison Park rather than Liverpool.
