Everton owner Farhad Moshiri launches an investigation to find out why Roberto Martinez was paid a whopping £10 million compensation fee, according to reports from the Sun.
Following a terrible campaign, Everton decided to dispense with the services of manager Roberto Martinez during the tail end of last season.
The manner of the departure was most certainly a huge blow for Martinez but the Spaniard could be satisfied by the fact that he received a handsome compensation package worth a whopping £10 million from Everton upon his sacking.
Everton have moved on from Martinez and have most certainly appointed a very good replacement in the form of Dutchman Ronald Koeman over the summer.
However, it has been revealed that new club owner Farhad Moshiri is still not entirely happy at Martinez being handed such a huge severance pay.
According to reports from the Sun, claims have been made that Moshiri has now launched an internal investigation to find out who agreed to give Martinez such a huge fee and that no one has come forward with a proper explanation as of yet.
