According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Everton are eyeing up a sensational double move for Michael Keane and Abel Hernandez.
Everton have hit a purple patch in form since the turn of 2017 and the Toffees managed to move closer to the top four by claiming a comfortable 2-0 victory over struggling Sunderland over the weekend.
Despite the brilliant run though, it seems unlikely that Everton will be able to eventually earn a Champions League finish due to the gap that currently exists and manager Ronald Koeman will be well aware of this fact.
Nonetheless, one can be sure that Everton will be looking to mount a more genuine challenge for a top four finish next season and in order to do so, the Toffees will most certainly have to further strengthen their squad over the summer.
Koeman already seems to be planning for the future and now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, revelations can be made that the Dutch manager is currently considering a big money double swoop for Michael Keane and Abel Hernandez.
Phil Jagielka seems to be nearing the end of his career at Everton and Koeman will surely have to bring in a capable replacement for the veteran.
Keane is a very talented young centre back who has managed to impress at Burnley since moving from Manchester United a couple of seasons ago and Everton are said to be ready to splash as much as £20 million next summer in order to lure the England international away from Turf Moor.
Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is another player currently on the radar of Everton. There is a widespread rumor that Romelu Lukaku could well be on his way out of Goodison Park next season and as a result, Everton are believed to be eyeing up a move for Hernandez as a replacement – who could potentially cost the Toffees around £20 million as well.
