Everton have identified Neto as the ideal replacement for Tim Howard, according to reports from Italian newspaper Tuttosport
Tim Howard brought down the curtain on his remarkable decade long stay at Everton at the end of last season and now the Toffees are actively said to be looking to find a replacement for the American international.
Manager Ronald Koeman is scouring the market in his search for a new goalkeeper and now according to reports from Tuttosport, claims have been made that the Dutchman is plotting a swoop to sign Juventus star Neto.
The Brazilian is considered as one of the best shot-stoppers in the Italian Serie A but he has struggled for regular first team football at Juventus after failing to dislodge Gianluigi Buffon as the number one choice between the sticks.
As a result, Neto is believed to be looking towards making a move to a new club this summer and while Juventus rate the26-year-old very highly, they are not looking to stand in his way.
A move to the Premier League has been seen as a possibility for the goalkeeper and now according to reports, Everton are ready to swoop in for the custodian.
Neto has acquired plenty of experience over the past five years and he would most certainly be a very good addition to Everton, if indeed the transfer goes through.
