Premier League outfit Everton are set to make a move for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio
Everton are set to appoint Ronald Koeman as their new manager and the Dutchman will surely have a lot of funds to work with during the upcoming summer transfer window.
As a result, it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing a number of players already being linked with a move to Goodison Park over the past few weeks and now in a fresh link, claims have been made that the Toffees are currently considering a move for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello.
Tello is regarded as one of the most promising young players to have emerged from Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy but the 24-year-old has not quite been able to prove his worth for the first team.
Having failed to cement a place at Barcelona, Tello has spent the last two seasons on loan at the likes of Porto and Fiorentina.
Now, it is believed that Tello wants a permanent move away from the Nou Camp and a stay in Italy with Fiorentina had been seen as a possibility for the Spaniard.
There is a lot of interest in Tello from England as well and now according to reports emerging out of Italy, claims have been made that Everton have also joined in the race to sign the Spanish international.
Tello is believed to be in negotiations with Fiorentina over a potential transfer but Everton are hopeful of gate crashing the deal and it will be interesting to see if the Toffees are able to lure the 24-year-old to Goodison Park this summer.
