Premier League outfit Everton are currently in pole position to secure the services of wonderkid Ademola Lookman, according to reports emerging out of England.
Ademola Lookman has emerged as one of the most promising young players in England after having broken into the Charlton Athletic first team last season and although the Addicks are going through a turbulent period at the moment, the youngster’s emergence has been somewhat of a solace for the fans.
Lookman has done well in the League One as well during the current campaign and it certainly seems just a matter of time before the 20-year-old earns a move to a bigger club.
A host of Premier League clubs have understandably expressed their interest in signing Lookman and the duo of Arsenal and Liverpool have been repeatedly mentioned as the teams keen on securing the services of the young attacker.
However, Everton have also joined in the race to sign Lookman in recent times and now according to reports emerging out of England, the Toffees are currently in pole position to secure the services of the young winger.
Everton have already placed a bid of around £7 million for Lookman and after having had their first attempt rebuffed, the Merseyside outfit are now ready to match Charlton’s £10 million valuation for the England Under-20 international.
