According to reports from the Sun, Everton are looking to lure Olivier Giroud to Goodison Park from Arsenal by offering up the services of Ademola Lookman.
Everton splashed as much as £11million to secure the services of Ademola Lookman from Charlton Athletic during the January transfer window last season and he made a stunning impact on his debut after scoring in the Toffees’ 4-0 victory over Manchester City.
Given the instant impact, Lookman was tipped to become the next big thing at Everton but things has not quite panned out that way as the England Under-21 international has not received regular first team football over the past 10 months or so.
Things have become much worse for Lookman during the current campaign as he has not featured at all during the Premier League campaign and it looks like the 19-year-old has already lost of the faith of manager Ronald Koeman.
Now according to reports from the Sun, Everton are already looking to ship out Lookman from the club and are planning to offer his services to Arsenal in an attempt to land Olivier Giroud during the January transfer window.
Giroud was consistently linked with a transfer to Everton in the summer but the move did not come into fruition as the striker wanted to fight for his place at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Giroud has remained a backup option at Arsenal and he could now be tempted with a move to Everton this winter. In addition, Lookman has been consistently scouted by Arsenal and the transfer could make sense for the all the parties involved if it is finalized.
