Venue: Goodison Park
Date: 13/12/2016
Kick-off: 19:45 (BST)
Everton welcome Arsenal to Goodison Park on Tuesday night and the match will be one which the Toffees will be desperate to claim all three points from.
Everton’s terrible run of form continued after they succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Watford at Vicarage Road last weekend and the result means that the Merseyside outfit are currently on a poor run of having claimed only one victory from their last ten matches.
It is clear to see that Everton now need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible but doing so this weekend will most certainly not prove to be easy as they prepare for a tough encounter against an Arsenal outfit who have not lost in 14 matches.
Everton Team News
Muhamed Besic, Yannick Bolasie and Matthew Pennington are the long term injury absentees for Everton but as a relief to manager Ronald Koeman, he does not have any fresh fitness concern to contend with ahead of the encounter against Arsenal.
The backline consisting of Ashley Williams, Ramiro Funes Mori, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman including goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg were very poor last weekend but they look set to continue in the lineup due to the lack of options to choose from. That said, Phil Jagielka will be hopeful of a return to the start.
Gareth Barry usually starts at the middle of the park but considering he played the entire 90 minutes against Watford just a couple of days ago, the veteran could well be rested and Tom Cleverley is the most likely candidate to come in.
Idrissa Gueye and James McCarthy look set to continue alongside Cleverley while the wide positions are set to be occupied by the duo of Ross Barkley and Kevin Mirallas. Gerard Deulofeu, Enner Valencia and Aaron Lennon are the other options to choose from.
Romelu Lukaku was perhaps the only positive for Everton in the 3-2 defeat against Watford after he grabbed a brace and the Belgian international will be hopeful of continuing his good form against Arsenal as well.
Probable Lineups

Prediction
Everton have failed to beat Arsenal in their last four attempts and they certainly head into the clash on Tuesday night as underdogs.
While Everton desperately need to get back to winning ways, Arsenal have been in sensational form in recent times and the Gunners are most likely set to claim the three points from the encounter.
Everton 1-3 Arsenal
Arsenal 4 1 Everton
