Fierce rivals Liverpool and Everton are involved in a head-to-head battle to secure the services of Łukasz Teodorczyk, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
Everton look very unlikely to be able to hold on to the services of Romelu Lukaku beyond the current summer transfer window and reports have claimed that the Toffees have already received approaches from Manchester United and Chelsea for the Belgian international.
Wherever Lukaku will end up plying his trade next season, it is expected that Everton will be pocketing around £80-90million from his sale and the huge funds will surely be used to strengthen the entire squad.
Bringing in a capable replacement for Lukaku will have to be one of the priorities for manager Ronald Koeman and a host of names have unsurprisingly been linked with a move to Goodison Park over the past few weeks.
Now in fresh reports from the Daily Mirror, revelations can be made that Everton are currently considering a move for Anderlecht star Łukasz Teodorczyk.
Teodorczyk enjoyed a stunning campaign last term, scoring 30 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions and such a wonderful run of form has seen the 26-year-old attract the interest from a host of clubs across Europe.
Koeman is believed to have been left very impressed with Teodorczyk’s performances last season and with Anderlecht putting up a reasonable £10million price tag on the striker, a deal going through this summer is well within the realms of possibility.
That said though, Everton’s fierce rivals Liverpool are also said to be interested in signing Teodorczyk and with the Reds being able to offer their targets Champions League football next season, Everton may have to pay a bit over the odds in order to sign the Polish international.
