Everton manager Sam Allardyce has welcomed new signing Cenk Tosun to Goodison Park, tipping the Turkish striker to great things in the future.
Everton completed the signing of Cenk Tosun from Besiktas earlier this month in what might be the most important signing for the Toffees in the recent past as the forward is the type of player the club needs the most at the moment.
Everton have failed to convert their many chances into goals and the signing of Tosun will help them to remedy this problem as the 26-year-old has impressive goalscoring record in both Europe and the Turkish League.
Tosun’s new manager Sam Allardyce has now revealed about his expectations of the striker and also suggesting the 26-year-old has the ability to make major impact in the Everton.
Allardyce told reporters, “This lad looks like he is strong mentally and has a good pedigree. He is Turkey’s number one striker and has scored goals in the Champions League and the Turkish League but he is desperate to play here in the Premier League.
“He is an all-rounder, with good movement. He is two-footed, perhaps not the biggest but he’s very efficient in the air and in the box he gets good space to get his head on the ball.
“We looked at the qualities of the player, his talent and goal-scoring, and his resilience, too. I do not think you can look any more than we have done and, for the price, he is the best in Europe at the moment.”
